Children's Day at the Aquarium of the Pacific
This Saturday and Sunday will be the Aquarium of the Pacific’s largest event; Día del Niño/Children’s Day. Its a celebration of kids of all cultures. The festival for kids will feature arts and crafts, storytelling, dance performances by kid’s groups, live music, and more.
If you haven’t been to the Aquarium of the Pacific or the Shoreline Village area you’re missing out. My wife and I go often for dinner one of the many restaurants then walk along the harbor up to the light house. The weather this weekend should be perfect for this event. The Children’s Day events are free with paid admission to the Aquarium, but you can download a free child’s admission coupon here for this weekend.
And if you don’t want to attend the Aquarium events but only hang out at the Shoreline Village/Rainbow Harbor waterfront area, you’ll still be able to see the childrens parade on Saturday at 1pm. The parade starts at the Aquarium and ends at Shoreline Village. Along the waterfront will be live music, cultural displays and vendors. So whether you attend the Aquarium or not, you’ll have a great time.
Location: Aquarium of the Pacific – Rainbow Harbor – Shoreline Village (they are all side by side)
The Aquarium events are from 9am-5pm on Saturday May 1st and Sunday May 2nd.
